Pineapple Turmeric Tea

What do I need?

  • 1 pineapple
  • Turmeric powder
  • Ginger powder
  • Black pepper
  • Honey
  • Water for boiling
  • Large pot
What do I do?
  • Cut the crown, core, and skin of your pineapple off (keep the flesh for eating)
  • In a large pot add your pineapple parts and cover with water
  • Bring to a boil then let simmer for an hour
  • Pour the pineapple "tea" into your mason jars or any container you plan to use
  • Add in the turmeric, ginger, and black pepper to match your "taste buds".  I put in about 2 tablespoons of turmeric, one spoonful of ginger, and 5 twists of black pepper.  Why the pepper?  Pepper is needed to help the turmeric work, otherwise you are just peeing it out.
  • Sweeten with honey to your desired liking
  • Enjoy warm or chilled
